DH NPR

This is my blog dedicated to purely NPR(non photoreal renders) which I have created over the last few years.Some are based on a basic render from such software as Twilight,V-ray,Thea or Artlantis,with additional detail added in Photoshop.

Others are assembled directly in Photoshop with multiple layers of elemental entourage such as vegetation,skies,rocks etc. and are more digital matte paintings than renders.

Its really all about my fascination with different types of light.

This night version is based directly on the image below which was colour toned in photoshop to turn day to night

An assembly of different versions of the same building,some with the building rendered out in bright sunlight,the other in an overcast light.

Heres a few more tropical images,in these views the palm trees directly surrounding the building and the water were rendered out in Thea.The skies and foreground planting were photoshopped after.

I like to use low evening sun for a lot of my images such as in the image above

Below is a more looser,traditional style watercolour effect done using photoshop,fotosketcher and overlaying lines from sketchup.The base image was originally rendered in Twilight
